About our laboratory

The Resource Production & Safety Laboratory (REPS) in Kyushu University engages in education and research to advance development, design, and production technologies for a new “Resource Frontier and Sustainable Carbon Cycle System”.

Our primary research focuses on technologies for highly efficient production of hydrocarbon resources from underground reservoirs, technologies for effective utilization of the obtained energy, energy-efficient separation and capture of emitted carbon dioxide, underground storage of captured carbon dioxide, and conversion of captured carbon dioxide into new energy sources.
